Statesville Pride is a 501c3 non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting an appreciation and understanding of the unique culture, history and people of Statesville, North Carolina.

We do this by hosting an annual essay contest for Mitchell Community College students, asking them to write a brief essay about what makes our city so wonderful. So far, every year, the Statesville Record & Landmark has published the winning essay around the time of Thanksgiving.

The Statesville Pride Board of Directors receives no compensation for their participation in the charity, and all operating expenses are borne by the Board.

100% of all donations are given to students at Mitchell Community College.
